Sorry i just want to tell as uch ppl i can about it.
Someone stoled GTC from CCP, then he SOLD those through EO forums!
And guess what ?? People who bought them got BANNED FOR 100 YEARS!!
Old mates from SOLID in this case, full legit accounts, no ebay or anything, they just bought gtc from wrong person.
Im pissed!

i hope this gets sorted in a way it should ... afaik sales through the EO are 100% legit ... the seller has to guarantee the legality of the trade, if not he gets banned ... (though it's not sure for CCP who of the buyers know of this theft - in other words who was involved in the theft.)
i also hope that this incident makes CCP reconsider their whole GTC for ISK sales ... i'd rather prefer something like a buddy raffle system - with a very limited amount of GTC for isk sales.

I have fresh info, its 30-40 accs from SOLID alone....
all banned, we got 3 unbanned so far, this is crazy, ppl are calling CCP from Canada, Romania. CCP SUCK!!!!

The seller was a m8 of mine and the ppl who bought them didn't buy them trough Eve-O  . SO it's a bit more complicated then that, the thing is CCP banned a LOT more ppl form the same corp at random wich is wierd.

it sounds like CCP is outta control. They really should rethink their gtc > isk policy because not only does it waste ISD time but it takes away from the fun of others.
I just dont see how they can ban the buyers. Honestly though they should have used eve-o for transactions since it leaves a trail of proof. |

Legally speaking, possession of stolen goods is a crime in most countries, no matter whether you bought them from someone else or stole them yourself. Most legal institutions will not pursue you for that possession, especially if they can get their hands on the source of the goods, but that's on a case by case basis...
So... CCP can and should forgive them, but really these guys simply got themselves into one nasty mess...

oh my god this sucks !
When server is back online with the new nodes bla bla bla, we should protest in-game at jita... as a test-drive for the nodes aswell.... Bring in a 200 man fleet and start shooting concord and drone the place.. that will crash the servers and teach them fuckers a lesson.
